About us

State Government had set up a task force to re-organise the Transport Department in December, 1972.The work related with the registration of the vehicles, issuing of driving licences and permits, fitness of vehicles, deposition and recovery of Motor Vehicle Tax and Enforcement of Motor Vehicle Act and Rules is being done by the reorganised Transport and Road Safety Department since July, 1974
